Memories of Broken Glass

By: Spencer Wider

Change the shutter speed
For it's all we need
We will take the lead (and)
Plant this funeral seed

As these quivering lips shake
Remembering all the ones who were fake
This dead weight weighs me down
For the times we had in this messed up town

I'm writing a eulogy for your apology
And pull you out from this death
This friendship doesn't end

Grasp onto my shaking hand
It's not fair to have to let you go
In pictures the tears will show
Inside jokes that no one knows
The definition of a great friend should go.

The 5th annual Corey Siebert Memorial Track Meet
has been scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, 2008

It's time again!

The 5th annual Corey Siebert Memorial Track Meet has been scheduled for April 12th.

The meet will start at approximately 11:00 AM at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton.

It promises to be bigger than ever!

We would love to see everyone just come and enjoy the meet. You have no idea how much comfort we get from seeing everyone! If you wish to help out, or just have questions, call or e-mail Stacy.

Hope this finds everyone well!

From the Sieberts

This site was originally created while Corey was in the hospital.

It has since become far more than a source of information sharing about Corey. It has become an important part of our lives.

We visit Corey's message board daily. The thoughts, prayers, and "Corey Stories" are a constant in our forever changed world.

Whie the days without Corey are becoming more bearable, we still think of him every day, and occasionally some of those days are still very difficult and sad.

We enjoy the shared memories of Corey's life on the message board and encourage anyone to share, if you would like, some of your memories. They are usually good for a laugh or two and have become invaluable to us.

We love to hear from family and friends. Please keep in touch.

The sparkle in his eye, the sunshine in his heart, each of us loved a different part.

The way he always found the right thing to say, his life was special each and every day.

The strongest of minds, a touch so kind, a strength most of us could never find.

He may be out of sight, but he didn't travel far, for in the night sky, he is our bright and shining star.

Valuable Resources

Friends of Kids with Cancer

For those who may be in a similar situation, there is an organization that Corey was not able to be a part of, Friends of Kids with Cancer.

This is a great organization that offers support and an escape for youth who are sick. For more information visit the Friends of Kids with Cancer website.

St. John's Blood Donation

Even though Corey is gone, the critical need for blood and platelet donation remains. Right now, there is another son, daughter, brother, sister, or friend with the same critical need.

We were so fortunate to have friends and family step forward to donate in Corey's hour of need. To return the favor, we continue to donate and encourage anyone else to donate as well.
